The Memphis Grizzlies are going all-out to persuade free agent point guard Mike Conley to re-sign in Memphis.
In a new short on Monday, titled “Our Conductor,” several of Conley’s teammates, along with local recording artist Justin Timberlake, reflect on what he’s meant to the team and to the city. It’s pretty touching.
“Mike, this is for you, from all of us, with all our heart,” Timberlake says, introducing the video.
Clips from Conley’s tenure in Memphis are shown, as well as some snippets of interviews with Marc Gasol, Zach Randolph and Tony Allen.
Teams can begin to sign players when free agency starts on June 1. The Mavericks, Spurs and Heat may all be interested in Conley, but they may not be this interested.
