Report: Knicks, Brandon Jennings agree to one-year deal

The New York Knicks are close to a deal with free-agent guard Brandon Jennings, reports ESPN’s Marc Stein.
The deal will be for one year and $5 million, reports CSN Chicago’s Vincent Goodwill. Jennings seemingly confirmed the news on Twitter.
Jennings, 26, played in 48 games last season with the Pistons and Magic. He was traded mid-season to Orlando, and finished the year averaging 6.9 points, 3.5 assists and 2 rebounds per game.
Originally the No. 10 overall pick in the 2009 draft, Jennings spent the first four seasons of his career with the Bucks. He joined the Pistons in 2013 and began improving under coach Stan Van Gundy the next season, before an Achilles injury and Detroit’s acquisition of Reggie Jackson reduced his role with the team.
In his career, Jennings has averaged 15.5 points, 5.9 assists and 3.1 rebounds in 32.3 minutes per game. Jennings is a career 39% shooter.
