The Suns will host the Mavericks and Spurs in Mexico City for January regular-season games, the NBA announced Wednesday.

The games will be played on Jan. 12 and 14 at the Mexico City arena. The games will mark the fourth and fifth regular-season contests played in Mexico, and the 23rd and 24th NBA games of any kind in the country.

The NBA has played more games in Mexico than any other country, excluding the United States and Canada.

Last season, the Kings and Celtics played in Mexico City, the NBA’s 22nd game in Mexico overall and third played in the regular season. That trend will continue this season as the NBA continues its efforts to grow the league globally.

The NBA also continues its tradition of competing against international teams, as the Thunder will travel overseas to play preseason games against Real Madrid and FC Barcelona in October. The Raptors will host Argentinean club San Lorenzo De Almagro on Oct. 14.
