Sixers bigman Joel Embiid has always kept it real in his social media posts, and his Instagram on Saturday was no different.

Embiid shouted out former Sixers general manager Sam Hinkie with a photo of the two sharing a laugh. He added Hinkie’s famous slogan, “Trust The Process,” along with “He Died For Our Sins.”

Hinkie resigned in April with a 7,000-word resignation letter. He has maintained a cult following in Philadelphia ever since.

The part about dying for the Sixers’ sins may come from a sign held up by a Hinkie supporter on draft night:

Embiid, who was drafted by Hinkie in the first round of the 2014 draft, has continued ‘trusting the process’ even after the departure of Hinkie.
