The Milwaukee Bucks are in advanced talks to sign free-agent guard Jason Terry, reports ESPN's Marc Stein.

Terry, 38, spent the last two seasons with the Houston Rockets, and has also played for the Atlanta Hawks, Dallas Mavericks, Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets over his 17-year NBA career.

Terry, who won an NBA title with the Mavericks in 2011 with current Bucks coach Jason Kidd, played 72 games with Houston last season, averaging 5.9 points in 17 minutes per game.

Terry spent his first five seasons with the Hawks, who drafted him with the No. 10 pick in the 1999 draft.

He won the NBA's Sixth Man Award in 2009 and has made 2,169 three-pointers in his career, ranking third in NBA history behind Ray Allen and Reggie Miller. Terry has career averages of 14.3 points, 4.1 assists and 2.4 rebounds per game.
