NEW ORLEANS (AP) New Orleans Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry says guard Tyreke Evans is slated to play for the first time this season in Thursday night's game against the Indiana Pacers.

Evans missed most of last season with a right knee injury and his rehabilitation has also spanned the first 26 games of this season.

However, his return coincides with the absence of reserve point guard Tim Frazier, who sprained his right wrist in New Orleans' loss to Golden State on Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, Indiana Pacers coach Nate McMillan says his club is without guard Rodney Stuckey, who injured his left hamstring during Wednesday night's loss in Miami. That further reduces depth at guard, which was already thinned by Monta Ellis not making the trip because of his right groin strain.
