Report: Cavaliers to wear Goodyear logo on jerseys

Cavaliers to reportedly wear Goodyear logo on jerseys starting next season

The Cleveland Cavaliers will wear ads featuring the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company's Wingfoot logo on their game jerseys starting next season.

Bloomberg first reported the deal in February about the Goodyear logo being placed on the Cavaliers jerseys.

The team and Goodyear will announce the deal Monday afternoon, which is expected to be a three-year program to sell advertisements on the uniforms.

The Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets and Sacramento Kings previously announced logo deals, which are expected to bring in $5-10 million in extra revenue.

The 76ers will wear the Stubhub logo. The Kings will wear Blue Diamond Almonds. The Nets will represent Industry Specific Business Applications.

Goodyear is based and headquartered in Akron, Ohio, which is the hometown of Cavaliers forward LeBron James.

The Wingfoot logo patch will be worn on the front left of the jersey and the Nike logo will appear on the right.

Nike will be the NBA's official apparel provider starting in the 2017-18 season. Adidas has been the league's apparel provider for the past 11 years.
