Ben Simmons on NBA Debut: "Felt like I was playing 2K"

Ben Simmons' NBA debut impressed many including head coach Brett Brown.

2016 first overall pick Ben Simmons finally made his NBA debut for the Philadelphia 76ers and posted up 18 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in the 120–115 loss to the Washington Wizards. After the game, he told reporters "It felt like I was playing 2K, honestly."

Simmons missed last season after undergoing surgery to repair a fracture in his foot. He has said that he now feels like he is at 100% health.

Simmons finished with just none turnover in his 35 minutes of action. Head coach Brett Brown believed the debut went well but has already taken note of a few areas to improve upon.

"Really, there were times he could have finished even more," Brown said. "I feel that his first game was really exceptional. Really, really exceptional. Physically, we all see what he is as an athlete, and I think that his growth path, his improvement scale, can be off the charts."

The Sixers will host the Boston Celtics on Friday night.
