What Dented The Thunder Team Plane On Flight To Chicago?

Members of the Thunder were left wondering what hit their plane mid-flight.

Several members of the Oklahoma City Thunder hopped off the plane in Chicago on Saturday morning and were stunned to find a huge dent on the nose of their charter plane.

Carmelo Anthony posted a photo at 2 a.m. ET with the caption, "What possibly could we have hit in the SKY at this time of night? Everyone is Safe, Though. “All Praise Due”

Steven Adams tweeted at Nasa Neil DeGrasse Tyson and Bill Nye asking what could have caused this:

"We had a rough flight to say the least. 30000 feet in the air. Flying to chicago. What caused this?"

The team announced that everyone was safe.

A spokesman for Delta airlines issued the following statement, according to USA Today.

"Delta flight 8935, operating from Minneapolis to Chicago-Midway as a charter flight for the Oklahoma City Thunder, likely encountered a bird while on descent into Chicago. The aircraft, a Boeing 757-200, landed safely without incident; customers have since deplaned and maintenance teams are evaluating. Safety is Delta’s top priority."

The Thunder will play the Bulls on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET.
