Watch: Joel Embiid Slams Officials After Loss vs. Celtics, Says 'The Referees F------ Suck'

Embiid was called for five fouls during the Sixers' 112–109 loss.

Joel Embiid had something to say about the officiating during the Sixers' loss to the Celtics.

After suffering a 112–109 defeat, Embiid took the podium Tuesday night, ending his press conference with some strong thoughts about the game's referees.

"The referees f------ suck," the center said immediately before walking away.

Embiid finished the game with 23 points and 14 rebounds but was called for five fouls on the night. The All-Star center battled against a physical Al Horford for most of the game.

In the final minute of the game, Embiid failed to convert a potential game-tying two-pointer after Horford appeared to hit him on the arm. Embiid was fined $25,000 on Wednesday for his comments.

The Celtics and Sixers are now both 36–21 and tied in the Eastern Conference.
