Stephen Curry to Miss Three Months After Undergoing Hand Surgery

Warriors guard Stephen Curry will miss three months of the 2019-20 season after undergoing hand surgery, the team announced on Friday.

Golden State said Curry had successful surgery on his left hand in Los Angeles and is expected to make a full recovery.

Curry suffered a broken left hand midway through the third quarter of Wednesday night's game against the Suns. He collided with Suns center Aron Baynes while driving to the rim. Curry fell onto his hands and immediately grabbed his left wrist after Baynes landed on top of him. The team confirmed after the game that Curry broke his hand.

Through four games this season, Curry is averaging 20.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.5 assists. The Warriors have struggled after a 1–3 start to the season and sit in fourth place in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference.
