NBA DFS Daily Plays - Wednesday, 11/13 (DraftKings and FanDuel)

Our NBA DFS expert provides picks for DraftKings and FanDuel, based on matchups data and metrics.
NBA DFS: Kyle Kuzma 11/13

Tonight we have a seven-game slate . Of the 14 teams playing tonight, four include the four worst defensive teams in terms of fantasy points. The Rockets rank 30th, the Warriors rank 29th, the Grizzlies rank 28th and the Wizards rank 27th.

A good place to start would be looking for players to attack these teams. LeBron James is one of the best plays on the slate, especially with Anthony Davis ruled out. With Rajon Rondo and Davis out, James's usage-rate is up to 38%. Joel Embiid has also been ruled out. This will open up a few value plays for the Sixers. Matisse Thybule and Kyle O’Quinn are minimally priced and should see an increase in minutes.

Premier Plays

SF/PF Kyle Kuzma, Los Angeles Lakers

DraftKings: $4100, FanDuel: $5000

It took a few games, but Kuzma is finally starting to get his confidence back. The minutes limit has been removed, and over the past four games, he has taken an average of 14 shot attempts per game. You cannot ask for a better matchup tonight as the Warriors rank 29th overall defensively. With Anthony Davis listed as out, Kuzma should see a nice bump in minutes and usage. His current usage rate (33%) is second-best on the team, just below LeBron James. This is an excellent time to play Kuzma at his discounted price, especially since he possesses 40-plus fantasy-point upside. He is my top play on this slate.

PF/C Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Toronto Raptors

DraftKings: $4500, FanDuel $4200

The Raptors will be without Kyle Lowry, Serge Ibaka and OG Anunoby. Last game, Hollis-Jefferson played 29 minutes and just missed a double-double (nine points and nine rebounds), posting 28 fantasy points. He could see an uptick in minutes with Anunoby out and gets an excellent matchup against a Blazers team that ranks 23rd against opposing power forwards and 29th against opposing centers.

PG Terry Rozier, Charlotte Hornets

DraftKings: $5600, FanDuel: $7000

It has been an up-and-down season thus far for Rozier. The few games he missed value were due to either foul trouble or poor shooting. He is a talented player who plays with a lot of energy each night. Tonight he goes against one of the worst defensive teams and should have himself a solid outing.

SG/SF Josh Richardson, Philadelphia Sixers

DraftKings: $5200, FanDuel: $6400

The Sixers announced that Embiid will sit out tonight. This opens up some usage for the Sixers' starters. J-Rich has been pretty consistent this year and usually fills the stat sheet on both sides of the court.

PF/C PJ Washington, Charlotte Hornets

DraftKings: $5300, FanDuel: $6400

This is a good spot for the Hornets tonight against one of the worst defense teams in the NBA. Washington has played consistent minutes and has put up over 20 fantasy points every night with a 40-point upside. The Hornets will most likely be without Dwayne Bacon tonight, which should open up a few additional minutes for Washington.

"What If" Plays

*Jeff Teague is questionable right now, but in a very good spot on DraftKings if he is a go at only $4600. If Teague sits, then we can look back at Andrew Wiggins and Jake Layman. Wiggins has the highest usage of any Minnesota player with Teague off the floor.

*Daniel Thies is listed as doubtful. This is a good spot for Robert Williams ($3900 on both DraftKings & FanDuel) and Enes Kanter ($4600 on DraftKings and $4300 on FanDuel) if Theis is unable to suit up. Keep an eye on the status of Thies as the Celtics' big men have an excellent matchup against the Wizards.
