The Orlando Magic are looking to jump start their league worst offense. At the start of the season, they moved Markelle Fultz into the starting lineup to try and give their offense a boost.

On Wednesday, The Ringer’s Kevin O’Conner reported that the team is interested in acquiring San Antonio Spurs guard DeMar DeRozan to possibly provide a further lift.

DeRozan can become a free agent this summer by declining his $27.7 million player option. But as O’Conner notes, the Spurs could move the guard sooner.

“Multiple league sources say the Magic are scouring the trade market for scoring help and have already expressed interest in trading for DeRozan,” O’Conner writes. “It would surprise none of the front-office executives I’ve spoken with if the Spurs did move DeRozan.”

The four-time All-Star was traded to San Antonio before the 2018-19 season in exchange for Kawhi Leonard. Entering Wednesday, DeRozan is averaging 19.4 points and 4.9 rebounds per game on 49% shooting.

Orlando has started the season 4-7, picking up a 112-97 win against the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night. The Spurs fell to the Minnesota Timberwolves 129-114 on Wednesday.
