On Wednesday night, San Antonio emerged as the big winners of the NBA draft lottery when the franchise was awarded the No. 1 pick in June’s draft.

It’s expected the Spurs will use the top pick to draft French phenom Victor Wembanyama.

The 19 year-old dominant 7-foot-4 big man, who many regard as the greatest prospect since LeBron James, had the NBA world buzzing after telling ESPN he expects ‘to win a ring’ immediately.

“I’m a team player, I’m going to make everything to win as many games as I can. I’m trying to win a ring ASAP—so be ready,” Wembanyama told ESPN on Tuesday night from France.

Following up on the elite talent's supreme confidence, fans around the world as well as former Spurs stars set Twitter ablaze with an obvious inability to contain their excitement.
