On Wednesday night, San Antonio emerged as the big winners of the NBA draft lottery when the franchise was awarded the No. 1 pick in June’s draft.
It’s expected the Spurs will use the top pick to draft French phenom Victor Wembanyama.
The 19 year-old dominant 7-foot-4 big man, who many regard as the greatest prospect since LeBron James, had the NBA world buzzing after telling ESPN he expects ‘to win a ring’ immediately.

“I’m a team player, I’m going to make everything to win as many games as I can. I’m trying to win a ring ASAP—so be ready,” Wembanyama told ESPN on Tuesday night from France.
