Veteran Forward Taurean Prince to Sign With Lakers, per Report

Veteran forward Taurean Prince is finalizing a contract with the Lakers as NBA free agency opens, according to The Athletic‘s Shams Charania.
The two sides have agreed to a one-year deal worth $4.5 million, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Prince, a former first-round pick out of Baylor, has played for the Timberwolves since 2021. He previously spent time with the Cavaliers, Nets and Hawks.
The 29-year-old made 54 appearances for Minnesota in 2022–23, starting four games. In 22.1 minutes per game, he averaged 9.1 points and 2.4 rebounds per contest, and maintained a sizable role in the postseason, starting in one of the team’s two play-in tournament games and one playoff game against the eventual NBA champion Nuggets.
