Luka Dončić Drops F-Bomb With Triple-Double, and NBA Fans Loved It

Victor Wembanyama’s NBA debut drew the most attention Wednesday night in San Antonio. But the Mavericks beat the Spurs, 126–119, with Luka Dončić notching a triple-double.

Dončić scored 33 points with 13 rebounds and 10 assists and put the game away with a stepback three-pointer in Dallas’s 2023-24 season opener. But after the game, the star guard wanted to talk about his rookie teammate, Dereck Lively.

Lively compiled 16 points with 10 rebounds, arguably overshadowing Wembanyama (who was restricted by foul trouble). That performance excited Dončić so much that he apparently forgot he was on live TV and dropped a f-bomb during a postgame interview with ESPN’s Cassidy Hubbarth.

Check it out:

“He played f—ing amazing,” Dončić said, quickly realizing his gaffe and apologizing. Hubbarth chalked it up to being the first game of the regular season.

But hearing a word that’s not supposed to be said on national TV often provides a mischievous thrill and fans enjoyed Dončić’s slip-up.
