Stephen Curry Set to Play for Warriors vs. Thunder Saturday, Steve Kerr Says

After missing the past two games with a right knee sprainStephen Curry’s anticipated return to the lineup may finally be on the horizon as the Warriors prepare to face the Thunder.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr announced Saturday that the team expects Curry, 35, to play in Golden State’s home matchup against Oklahoma City after receiving clearance following a pre-game walkthrough.

Barring an unforeseen setback, Curry will resume what’s been another strong start to the superstar guard’s season, with the 14-year veteran averaging 30.7 points per game on 48.8/44.6/93.0 shooting splits.

With Curry sidelined, the Warriors (6–7) have dropped two straight games in a stretch that also saw Draymond Green earn a five-game suspension. Green’s penalty came after his ejection in Tuesday’s 104–101 in-season tournament loss to the Timberwolves, which was followed by a 128–109 loss to OKC on Thursday.
