Charles Barkley Had One Harsh Word to Describe Warriors After Blowing 24-Point Lead

The Warriors dynasty may be crumbling before our very eyes and every pundit in America is chiming in. After the team’s latest disaster—blowing a 24-point lead against the Kings on Tuesday night—Charles Barkley bluntly said it was over in San Francisco.

“This team is cooked,” Barkley said. “They’re not a contender.”

The NBA on TNT analyst went on to explain that Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, two pillars of the franchise, are just not what they once were. He also harped on the team’s age and said Stephen Curry, 35, cannot continue to carry the team at this point in his career.

Curry scored 29 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and tallied six assists in the loss. Thompson dropped 20 points and Green had eight points, six rebounds and three assists.

The devastating loss dropped Golden State to 8–10 on the year, a disappointing start to a season where they were expected to compete for an NBA title after acquiring Chris Paul. But as of Wednesday, it looks like it will be an accomplishment if this team even makes the postseason.
