Reggie Miller Rips Refs Over Tim Hardaway Jr. Call: ‘Worst Technical Foul I’ve Ever Seen’

In this story:
Mavericks guard Tim Hardaway Jr. was issued a technical foul during Tuesday’s game against the Lakers after referees determined he was hanging on the rim following a fast-break dunk.
It was a questionable decision to hit Hardaway with a technical, as he did not appear to hang on the rim for an unusually long amount of time, nor was he showboating.
Reggie Miller, who was calling the game on the TNT’s broadcast, was irate over the ruling from the game’s referees, and he made his opinions clear.
“This is absolutely the worst technical foul I’ve ever seen given on a player for hanging on the rim,” said Miller, who suggested he thought Hardaway was trying to avoid landing on Anthony Davis on the play.
"This is absolutely the worst technical foul I've ever seen... Joey Crawford would have ever would have called that."

“That is terrible by these officials. And for them to have six eyes and not huddle up and correct themselves, that’s terrible,” he added.
The camera then panned to former NBA officials Joey Crawford and Eddie F. Rush, who were in attendance for the game in Dallas.
“There’s no way Joey Crawford or Eddie F. Rush would’ve ever called that,” Miller said.
Those in attendance at the American Airlines Center, including team owner Mark Cuban, looked bewildered by the decision from officials, clearly not convinced, that Hardaway’s actions warranted a technical foul.
