Anthony Davis and Victor Wembanyama went straight after each other in Wednesday night’s game between the Lakers and Spurs, and the results were spectacular.

Davis was the first of the duo to make his strike. Late in the second quarter, Davis isolated Wembanyama, drove to the basket, hesitated, and put down a thunderous dunk on the rookie center.

It wasn’t Wembanyama’s first “welcome to the league” moment this season, but it was undoubtedly eye-opening for the young player to realize that there was someone that could throw it down over his 7' 4" frame.

Fans online unsurprisingly loved the dunk.

But Wembanyama was able to get his revenge just a few minutes later. In the final minute of the first quarter, Wemby beat Davis on a nearly identical dunk under the basket, and followed it off with an exclamation point alley-oop on the Spurs’ next time down the floor.

Davis and Wembanyama have plenty more head-to-head matchups ahead of them in their careers, but this meeting of near-matching dunks will be one to remember.
