Rockets’ Dillon Brooks Gets Emotional Watching Grizzlies Tribute Video

In his return to Memphis, former Grizzles standout wing Dillon Brooks became emotional during his former club's tribute video at FedEx Forum on Friday evening.

In six seasons Brooks established himself as one of the NBA’s top two-way forwards.

After being acquired in a trade in the offseason, Brooks is enjoying solid production in his first season with the Rockets, averaging 13.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.

The 27 year-old swingman has helped Houston post one of the best home records (11–1) in the NBA to start the 2023 season.

Despite the strong start at home, the Rockets have struggled away from the Toyota Center winning just one of their first nine games (1–8) on the road.

On Friday night, Houston will be looking to pick up a second road win when they take on a struggling Memphis squad that is off to a disappointing 6–17 start on the year.
