NBA Announces 14 Reserves for 2024 All-Star Game

The NBA announced the 2024 All-Star Game reserves on Thursday night for the annual event set to take place Feb. 18 in Indianapolis.

The NBA on TNT crew—Shaquille O’Neal, Ernie Johnson Jr., Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley—read the Western Conference and Eastern Conference reserves aloud during the NBA tip-off show before the Los Angeles Lakers-Boston Celtics game.

Here’s the list of players earning 2023-24 All-Star bids:

Western Conference Reserves: Lakers’ Anthony DavisLos Angeles ClippersKawhi Leonard, Phoenix SunsDevin Booker, Minnesota TimberwolvesAnthony Edwards, Golden State WarriorsStephen Curry, Clippers’ Paul George and Timberwolves’ Karl-Anthony Towns.

Eastern Conference Reserves: Celtics’ Jaylen Brown, Cleveland CavaliersDonovan Mitchell, New York KnicksJalen Brunson, Miami Heat’s Bam Adebayo, Knicks’ Julius Randle, Philadelphia 76ers’ Tyrese Maxey and Orlando Magic’s Paolo Banchero.

This marks Brunson, Maxey and Banchero’s first All-Star selections.

The reserves will join the 10 NBA players already named starters for the All-Star game. 

Lakers star LeBron James earned his 20th All-Star selection, and he will be joined by Oklahoma City Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Dallas Mavericks’ Luka Dončić, Suns’ Kevin Durant and Denver Nuggets’ Nikola Jokić in the Western Conference’s starting five.

The Eastern Conference starters are Milwaukee BucksDamian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo, Indiana PacersTyrese Haliburton, 76ers’ Joel Embiid and Celtics’ Jayson Tatum.
