Kevin Durant’s Reaction to Steph Curry’s Game-Winning Dagger Was All Class

Even after a heartbreaking defeat, Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant had nothing for love for Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry—the same Curry who had just hit a remarkable game-winning three-pointer to send the Suns home with a loss.

“All-time greatest ever at his position,” Durant said of Curry Saturday night after the Warriors’ 113–112 win in San Francisco. “Top five in the world … I mean top-five ever.”

With his team down 112–110 and two seconds to go in the game, Curry caught an inbound pass well beyond the arc and nailed a turnaround three-pointer like he’s done so many times throughout his career.

Curry finished with a team-high 30 points, nine rebounds and six assists as he continues to put together yet another All-NBA caliber season. The four-time champion and two-time MVP is averaging 28.1 points, 4.4 boards and 4.8 assists at age 35, and he clearly has earned Durant’s respect.

The Warriors improved to 25–25 (sixth in the Western Conference) with the win, while the Suns dropped to 31–22 (10th in the West).
