Charles Barkley Trolls Warriors Right in Front of Draymond Green

When news broke this past week that Hall of Fame forward Charles Barkley and Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green would host their own alternate broadcast of the NBA All-Star Game, many figured some sort of showdown was inevitable.

After all, Barkley and Green are frequent foils, with a longstanding love-hate relationship that dominated headlines during the Warriors’ miserable 2019-20 season.

It turns out the duo couldn’t even wait until Sunday.

On Saturday, Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown stopped by TNT’s set and discussed Golden State’s triumph in the 2022 NBA Finals with Green. When Brown suggested a rematch was in the making this year, Barkley chimed in.

“First of all, (Green) won’t be there,” Barkley said matter-of-factly.

As Brown laughed, Green took faux umbrage.

“Wow,” the Warriors forward said. “You’re one to talk!”

Barkley, of course, made just one career trip to the NBA Finals—in 1993, when his Phoenix Suns lost to the Chicago Bulls in six games.

The Warriors have won eight of their last 10 games, but they entered the All-Star break with a 27–26 record, good for 10th in the Western Conference.
