Jalen McDaniels Could Miss Another Game vs. Warriors

In this story:
The Philadelphia 76ers could find themselves shorthanded once again on Friday night. In addition to the star duo of Joel Embiid and James Harden, the veteran reserve Jalen McDaniels is also listed on the Sixers’ injury report as questionable against the Golden State Warriors.
Lately, McDaniels has been battling hip soreness due to a contusion he suffered a couple of weeks back. During the Sixers’ March 12 matchup against the Washington Wizards, McDaniels left the court seven minutes into his shift.
When the Sixers returned for the second half, McDaniels was ruled out for the remainder of the game. Over the next two matchups, the Sixers ruled out McDaniels against the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Charlotte Hornets. He would return to the court last Saturday to face the Indiana Pacers.
Although McDaniels checked in for 15 minutes against the Pacers, it was clear the young veteran wasn’t feeling one hundred percent. In the Sixers’ Monday night matchup against the Chicago Bulls this week, Doc Rivers ended McDaniels’ night after eight minutes.
After the game, McDaniels admitted he was still dealing with lingering soreness. Therefore, he was downgraded ahead of Wednesday’s rematch against the Bulls. Eventually, the Sixers ruled out McDaniels. He missed his third matchup with the Sixers since getting traded last month.
Friday’s game against the Warriors could mark the fourth time in six games McDaniels misses time. As he’s once again questionable, McDaniels will likely be considered a game-time decision on Friday as the Sixers continue their road trip out West.
