When Doc Rivers addressed James Harden’s latest setback ahead of Friday’s game against the Toronto Raptors, the head coach admitted there was some concern for the ten-time All-Star.

“It’s always a concern, honestly,” said Rivers. “You want him to be healthy. Calves and Achilles, those are things that pop up during the year, and you just hope they go away. That’s why we’ve managed them so well over the past couple of weeks. Giving them rest. Even during practice, not having them on the floor a lot. We’re doing everything we can.”

Following Friday’s game, Harden mentioned he was feeling good after a 37-minute shift on the floor. Despite the fact he’s not dealing with any setbacks, Harden’s playing status over the final few games will certainly be monitored.

When the Sixers take on the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday, Philadelphia will fortunately have their star playmaker on the floor, barring any unexpected setbacks.

As of Sunday morning, the Sixers don’t have Harden listed on the report for the matchup in Milwaukee. Since returning from a four-game absence, Harden has averaged 38 minutes on the floor.

During that time, the standout guard averaged 19 points, 12 assists, four rebounds, and one block in the two wins over the Dallas Mavericks and the Toronto Raptors.

The last time the Sixers played the Bucks, Harden nearly took the floor for 40 minutes. He scored a season-high 38 points. Harden nearly notched a triple-double by producing ten assists and coming down with nine rebounds.

On Sunday, Harden will get a chance to help lead the Sixers’ offense in a matchup against a team that could become a potential playoff opponent.
