The Philadelphia 76ers are back on the floor Monday night to face the Denver Nuggets. Monday’s game marks the second matchup between the two teams this season.

When the Sixers and the Nuggets first met in late January, the Sixers received a monster performance from Joel Embiid, who went off in the scoring department and dominated on the boards.

In less than 40 minutes of action, Embiid scored 47 points while coming down with 18 rebounds and collecting three steals and two blocks while dishing out five assists.

While Embiid’s first showing against the Nuggets added a lot of fuel to Monday’s game, the big man won’t get the opportunity to suit up and play. Dealing with calf tightness, Embiid will get the night off on Monday.

The loss of Embiid is unfortunate for the Sixers, but the team is hopeful of getting James Harden back in the mix after he’s missed four of the Sixers’ last five games.
