Matisse Thybulle Not Expected to Miss 76ers vs. Bucks

In this story:
The Philadelphia 76ers and the Milwaukee Bucks will battle it out for a second time this season on Friday night. The Bucks last played on Wednesday night, facing the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Meanwhile, the Sixers haven’t seen the court since last Sunday when they took on the Utah Jazz. The NBA issued the Sixers a significant four-day break this week. For the team, it was good timing considering they have a lot to work on still.
For Matisse Thybulle, the break served as an opportunity to get healthier after the defensive standout tweaked his ankle last weekend in the matchup against the Utah Jazz.
“Just like normal bangs and bruises,” said Thybulle when asked about his trip to the locker room mid-game on Sunday. “I’m just trying to maintain.” With a few days off between games, Thybulle’s main area of focus was feeling better physically.
“Just getting my body to feel better,” said Thybulle when asked about the break. “Realistically, just rest and recover.”
In Philadelphia’s two practices this week on Wednesday and Thursday, Sixers head coach Doc Rivers revealed that Thybulle was not a participant. Fortunately, it seemed Thybulle still had a chance to play against the Bucks on Friday night.
Sure enough, the veteran is on pace to play. Not only did the Sixers leave Thybulle off the injury report, which was released on Thursday night, but the young veteran participated in Philly’s Friday morning shootaround hours before the Milwaukee matchup.
Barring any unexpected setbacks, Thybulle is set to play against the Bucks on Friday night when the Sixers return to the court at the Wells Fargo Center.
