The Philadelphia 76ers' Atlantic Division rivals, the Brooklyn Nets, are heading to the NBA Playoffs for the fifth straight season.

Their playoff berth came after a week of blown chances, following a loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves and numerous wins by the Miami Heat, who they were fighting with over the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference.

The fighting would stop on Friday night as the Nets took down the Orlando Magic, 101-84.

Former Villanova and Philadelphia native Mikal Bridges would lead Brooklyn's offensive charge, scoring 22 points on some less-than-efficient shooting, ending the game with 29 percent accuracy from the field.

Nic Claxton would also have himself a game, scoring 14 points on 66 percent shooting while also grabbing an impressive 15 rebounds.

The Magic would simply just fail to really get their offense started, ending the game on 18 percent shooting from beyond the arc, with the Floridian team taking 38 shots from downtown.

The Nets would've secured their spot as the sixth seed regardless of the result of their match on Friday night, as the Miami Heat lost to the Washington Wizards, 108-114.

Their loss shouldn't have come as too much of a surprise as Erik Spoelstra, like many coaches, decided to rest his starters ahead of the upcoming play-in tournament, which will be imperative for the Heat's post-season dreams.
