On Sunday night, the Philadelphia 76ers closed out their season series against the Washinton Wizards at the Wells Fargo Center.

Joel Embiid came out of the gates swinging, dropping 22 points on 57 percent shooting in the first half, with James Harden's ten points and seven assists shortly trailing behind.

The third quarter would be nothing different for the Cameroonian superstar, dropping 12 points, helping his team pull ahead, 81-69, entering the fourth quarter.

With the game sensibly out of the Wizards' reach, Doc Rivers elected to rest the MVP candidate in favor of giving Paul Reed time on the court. Across the 12 minutes he played on Sunday, Reed put up six points while grabbing six rebounds.

Recently, this has become the role that the former DePaul big man has filled in for, averaging 12 minutes with five points and four rebounds per game.

Following the team's win against Washington on Sunday, Harden praised Reed's work ethic, ensuring that with his hard work, good things are bound to come for the 23-year-old.

"As a young dude, Paul works. I was in there shooting this morning and he was right there with me," said Harden, "When you got a guy that puts the work in and listens, good things are going to happen for him."

One of the traits that Reed has been picking up, according to the former MVP, is his cohesive nature, making sure the link with his teammates on the court is strong, which helps on both the offensive and defensive ends of the court.

"He's already a talented player, but the better connection we can have, the easier it's going to be on both ends of the ball, and he's been doing a really good job on that," Harden finished.
