Hobbled by a right shoulder contusion, Giannis Antetokounmpo is listed as probable for the Milwaukee Bucks' afternoon duel with the Detroit Pistons on Saturday.

Giannis participated in the team's practice on Friday, and coach Adrian Griffin is hoping that the Greek Freak will be able to suit up.

"I think he's listed as probable, but he had a good practice today. We're hoping he's ready to go tomorrow," said Griffin, per Eric Nehm of The Athletic.

Milwaukee was without Giannis when it played the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night. With Giannis, the result was a disaster as the Cavaliers rolled to a one-sided 135-95 win.

Impressive numbers

Antetokounmpo is averaging 31.2 points, 11.4 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.1 blocks this season. He has only missed two games, and the Bucks have gone 1-1 without him.

Milwaukee is 2-0 against Detroit this season. Antetokounmpo tallied 15 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and three blocks when the Bucks defeated the Pistons on November 8th, 120-118.

Giannis collected 22 points, eight boards, six dimes, and a steal when the Bucks repeated over the Pistons, scoring a 146-114 victory in their second meeting on December 16th.

Milwaukee and Detroit are playing each other twice in three days, and they will meet again on Monday.

Tight race to the top

Aside from rebounding from a blowout loss to the Cavaliers, the Bucks are gunning for a win that will cement their hold of second place in the Eastern Conference.

Milwaukee is currently second in the East with a 28-13 record, just slightly ahead of the Philadelphia Sixers, who are in second place with a 27-13 record. Boston is in the No. 1 spot in the East with a league-best 32-10 record.
