Damian Lillard brings 'Dame Time' to the next level, gifts teammates special edition watches
The Milwaukee Bucks are catching all the good vibes these days. Riding the crest of a recent six-game winning streak, Damian Lillard added more goodwill to the mix late as the team headed to San Francisco to take on the Golden State Warriors. The eight-time All-Star surprised each of his teammates with special edition Tissot PRX watches.
Tissot ambassador
An ambassador of the luxury Swiss watch brand, Lillard recently collaborated with the company’s designers to create a special edition PRX watch that bears numerous personal references, like the subtle “DAME” and “TIME” engravings on the rehaut. According to a report on Hypebeast, the gorgeous timepiece is based on the PRX Powermatic 80.
“The PRX Powermatic 80 Damian Lillard Special Edition watch blends the well-known features of the PRX with unique elements that reflect Lillard’s personality and career. Based on the gold PVD model variant, this timepiece boasts a distinct black dial embossed with the number '0', a nod to Lillard's jersey number,” the watch’s description read.
“The second-hand features Damian’s monogram, a subtle yet meaningful change. On the other side of the watch, the transparent case back offers a unique visual: the famous 'Dame Time' celebration. This element adds a layer of depth and narrative to the watch. The flange of the watch reveals more personal details, with each quadrant telling a part of Lillard's story. 'DAME' and 'TIME' adorn the top left and right corners respectively, synonymous with Lillard's on-court moniker and clutch performances.”
Surprised his teammates
As the Bucks shuffled onto the team plane, Lillard handed them his signature Tissot watch. Of them all, sophomore guard AJ Green looked the most surprised, as the Bucks expressed it was his first watch.
Veteran wingman Khris Middleton also discussed its value with Lillard, the latter joking that if they win a title this season, it will probably go up.
