Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the most low-maintenance superstars in the entire NBA. While he obviously makes an obscene amount of money from the Milwaukee Bucks and his multitude of endorsements, he's never been one to flaunt the latest and greatest tech gadgets or clothes.

When it comes to smartphones, the iPhone is arguably the most popular gadget around the world. Despite this, Giannis broke out a Google Pixel phone to record footage of the Slam Dunk Contest during the All-Star festivities this year. Netizens surely noticed and let the Greek Freak hear about it. Giannis, though, had the last laugh.

Face of the brand

As fate would have it, netizens weren't the only ones that took notice. Not long after, Google also tapped the Greek hoops star to become an endorser of the product. And Giannis doesn't only talk the talk, he also walks the walk, as he regularly uses his phone to document various moments of his life, on and off the floor.

“I try to document every time my family and I are together when we travel and special moments,” Antetokounmpo said. “The definition and clarity is so intense that I rarely have to adjust it at all.”

Road to redemption

Giannis is coming off another spectacular season where he averaged 31.1 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game and finished as a finalist for the MVP plum. The Bucks finished with the best record in the regular season and were installed as the odds-on favorite to win it all.

However, it was not meant to be, as Giannis suffered a back injury in Game 1 of the first-round series against the Miami Heat and missed the next two games. The Bucks eventually fell to the Heat in five games in one of the most memorable playoff upsets in league history.
