Lasry and Edens initially bought the team from Herb Kohl nine years ago for $550 million. With Lasry at the helm, the Bucks have become a global phenomenon—thanks to their superstar, Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Bucks also won an NBA championship in 2021, defeating the Suns in the NBA Finals for the franchise’s second NBA crown.
Can Haslam change his fortunes?
The 68-year-old Haslam owns the Cleveland Browns in the NFL and the Columbus Crew in the MLS. So far, it’s been a mixed bag for Haslam, as the Browns have had a 55-113-1 record since he took over in 2012. The Crew, on the other hand, won the MLS Cup in 2020, a year after Haslam took over.
