Milwaukee and Detroit are jockeying for the No. 5 and No. 6 spots in the Eastern Conference, so this game will carry a ton of weight.
As of Wednesday, the Bucks hold a two-game lead over the Pistons. Milwaukee has won five games in a row, which has helped them rise in the standings.
The Pistons, on the other hand, have not helped their cause. They have lost two games in a row. If they want any chance at securing the fifth spot, Detroit will need to go undefeated in their last three games, two of which will be against the Bucks.
The Bucks have found their groove after losing four consecutive games; Milwaukee has a chance to end the regular season on an eight-game winning streak.
Their superstar, Giannis Antetokounmpo, has led the way, and rightfully so. He is their best player, and he has been playing like that all season. The Greek Freak has been stellar all season long, averaging 30.4 points per game, which slots him at second in the league, along with 11.9 rebounds in 34.2 minutes of action.
With this matchup against the Pistons, the Bucks have a chance to sweep the season series against their division rivals. The two played each other earlier in the season, one in November and the other in December.
The Bucks won the first contest by seven points, and in the other, they won comfortably by 21 points.
It has been a while since the two teams have met, and they have experienced ups and downs in the season.
These two games will mean a lot to both teams, and as much as this is a must-win for the Bucks, it is equally a must-win for the Pistons.
Milwaukee is playing great basketball as of late, and all they need to do to secure the No. 5 seed is get one of the two games against the Pistons.
