Michael Jordan's autographed Jordan VIIIs from the 1993 Eastern Conference Finals are up for auction

"These are a grail item for any memorabilia collector and fan of the GOAT.”

Michael Jordan's performance in Game 4 of the 1993 Eastern Conference Finals was a display of basketball mastery.

Just when the New York Knicks thought they had unlocked the key to stopping His Airness, Jordan befuddled his foes once again, dropping 54 points in a 105-95 win to tie the series at 2-2. Now, three decades later, fans and collectors have the chance to own a piece of that memorable game in the form of Michael Jordan's autographed Air Jordan VIIIs, which are up for auction.

"A grail item for any memorabilia collector"

According to Nick Cepero, Manager of Memorabilia at PWCC Marketplace, this pair is as rare as they come.

“Jordan played a monster game in these shoes that Chicago desperately needed to keep their three-peat hopes alive,” said Cepero. “It’s rare to find a game-worn and autographed pair of Jordan’s shoes, especially from a game as big as this one. These are a grail item for any memorabilia collector and fan of the GOAT.”

According to the listing at PWCC, "These size 13 Jordan VIIIs feature the number 23 embroidered in white and red on the lace guards. Jordan’s signature is struck in silver marker on the outside of both sneakers. Letters of authenticity from PSA, Beckett, and SIA are included with the shoes, as well as an SIA photo match."

Backs against the wall

In the 1993 Eastern Conference Finals, the Knicks were determined to knock off their rivals and appeared to have staggered the Chicago Bulls by taking a 2-0 series lead. However, Scottie Pippen sparked the Bulls in Game 3, scoring 29 points to power the team to a 103-83 win and trim the series deficit to 2-1.

Although Michael Jordan nearly had a triple-double with 22 points, 11 assists, and eight rebounds, he shot just 3-of-18 from the field. However, he bounced back in Game 4.

MJ scored 54 points on an efficient 18-of-30 shooting clip, made six three-pointers, and went 12-of-14 from the charity stripe. He also had six rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a block as the Bulls equalized the series.
