Chicago Bulls All-Star DeMar DeRozan will star in a brand-new digital series called “Dinners with DeMar.” Produced in collaboration with Emmy Award-winning studio Podium Pictures, the series will feature “authentic, unrehearsed, unfiltered conversations about mental health.”

First season will feature Draymond, Wade, and Lillard

The series will premier on Deebo’s YouTube channel, with the three-episode first season featuring two All-Stars and one Hall of Famer. The first episode, which will premier on February 20, will have Deebo conversing with the Golden State Warriors’ controversial forward Draymond Green.

It can be recalled that Green has been suspended for quite some time this season after getting into altercations with Rudy Gobert and Jusuf Nurkic.

The second episode, which will be shown on March 5, will have Wade as DeRozan’s next guest. The conversation happens in Deebo’s backyard, where Wade opens up about fatherhood. The third and last episode of the first season will have Lillard, the Milwaukee Bucks superstar.

Deebo continues to spread the word about mental health

According to DeRozan, NBA players may look invulnerable when performing on the court, but they also go through their struggles off the court. This is why he wants to break the stigma surrounding mental health in sports and encourage others to open up about their own experiences.

“When you hear about players, it's always about basketball,” DeRozan said.

“Especially when you hear about these players. But there's so much more to them. They talk about their families, their dreams, all of the things that make them human. I think that's one of the things I want to get across. That when it comes to mental health, NBA players aren't so different from anyone else.”
