Coby White isn't blaming his sore wrist for his recent shooting slump: "I shot well before. It's no excuse"

The coming out party of Chicago Bulls’ rising star of a guard Coby White has recently hit a pothole, but the former Tar Heel isn’t sweating it. Despite playing with a sore right wrist, the fifth-year guard says it’s no excuse to miss his last 15 three-point attempts.
Terrible shooting
White would be the first to tell you that his shooting is a little off right now. He shot 0-for-8 from long range in the loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers before Christmas and then went 0-for-7 in the 118-113 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday.
Last night against the Pacers he continued subpar shooting going 2-for-6 from behind the arc.
“I’ve been shooting it terrible,” White said.
After running in third for a while for most three-pointers made this season, White has tailed off, dropping to ninth on the list with 94 triples. The fifth-year pro is not concerned about his recent cold spell, saying he’ll do what needs to be done to get on track again.
“I’ll make shots eventually. I was due. I was shooting the (expletive) out of the ball for a stretch there. For me, I don’t put too much into it. Just stay in the gym, evaluate what I’ve been doing wrong and get back to how I felt when I was going right,” White shared.

Sore wrist
White has been dealing for a sore wrist, which he keeps taped up for every game. The Goldsboro, North Carolina native, though, emphasized that it’s not the reason for his slump as he shot well in spite of it. However, he acknowledged that he needs to get it treated right so it will heal faster.
“I don’t think it’s getting worse,” White said.
“I just think because it’s my right hand, it’s taking longer to heal.”
