Coby White says the team is more focused on getting wins than the trade deadline

In this story:
As the NBA trade deadline rolls around, players can’t help but think about their future and the potential of being traded. But for Chicago Bulls guard Coby White, his focus remains on winning and supporting his teammates. In a recent interview, White spoke about the team’s mindset heading into the trade deadline.
Believe in one another
White, the Bulls’ fast-rising star who’s coming off a spectacular 33-point performance against the Minnesota Timberwolves, shared that he and his teammates don’t pay attention to all the trade buzz and rumors that accompany the annual trade deadline.
“We don’t pay attention to that,” White said.
“We’re worried about the guys in this locker room. We believe in the guys in this locker room. We’re with the guys in this locker room. We’re going to back each other. We’re going to believe in each other. We’re going to take advantage of every opportunity we get.”
White is playing the best basketball of his five-year career, averaging 19.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game, establishing himself as a player the Bulls can build around in the coming seasons. Safe to say, barring a godfather offer, he won’t be a trade candidate.

Will the Bulls be sellers?
It remains to be seen what the front office will do at this critical juncture of the season. Although the Bulls sit ninth in the Eastern Conference, they’ll unlikely contend for more than a spot in the first-round of the NBA Playoffs.
With veterans DeMar DeRozan and Andre Drummond playing in the final years of their contracts and the trade value of Alex Caruso at its peak, the Bulls must consider their options to improve the team's long-term prospects.
