The Bulls might be one of the few teams to pull a plug and start fire sale

With a questionable future and a lot of chips to toss, the Bulls are one of the organizations to keep an eye on during the NBA's trade season.

From being at 5-14 in their first 19 games, the Bulls turned it up and won four of their last five games. The positive aspect of this stretch is the fact that they were able to pull it off even with Zach LaVine unavailable.

From this winning stretch, the Bulls have shown much emphasis on ball movement, quicker pace, enhanced defense, and the major step-up of their young core in Coby White and Patrick Williams. But amid these significant showings from their spectacular win skid, it appears that they won't evade the perception of a team that must head to a rebuild.

A team to monitor at the trade season

In a published piece of Bleacher Report, it was highlighted that the Bulls are one of the eight teams to watch as the season’s trade deadline draws near.

Chicago, which began the year with players-only meetings following their first loss, has already demonstrated that they must begin a fire sale. The article notes that the likes of Zach LaVine, Alex Caruso, DeMar DeRozan, and Nikola Vucevic are the franchise’s considerable trade chips if they eventually decide to hit the reset button.

“The Bulls have been playing a little better as of late, but ultimately, this team is trending downward, and the front office needs to look at being big sellers this trade cycle,” the article says.

Reset or continue

It is, without a doubt, that there are plenty of reasons why the Bulls must consider heading in a different direction. They might be coming off an encouraging win, but that doesn’t change the fact that they are stuck in the East as mediocre team at best, their future own assets are unsecured, and the competitive progress they had from the previous years is lacking.

Only time can tell what would be the plans of Chicago management to shut down the rebuild uproar finally.
