Acie Law had a "March Moment" as his buzzer-beater lifted Texas A&M past Texas in 2006

In this story:
Even the biggest Chicago Bulls fan may not remember Acie Law. After all, the 6-foot-3 guard played just 12 games for the Bulls during the 2009-2010 season, averaging 5.5 points in 11 minutes of action per game.
However, you may hear a different story if you ask about Law on the Texas A&M campus.
Law, who played for the Aggies from 2003 to 2007, is best remembered for his "March Moment." In what would be known as "The Shot," Law drained a three-pointer right before the final buzzer to topple their in-state rivals Texas Longhorns, 46-43, at the Reed Arena in College Station, Texas.
This is March.

Game with a lot of meaning
It was a game that had a lot on the line for both teams. Texas A&M was seeking to make it to the Big Dance, while the no.7-ranked Texas was targeting the Big 12 title. With the Longhorns parading stars LaMarcus Aldridge, Daniel Gibson, and PJ Tucker, the Aggies knew they wouldn't outperform them on offense. Instead, they turned to their incredible defense to hold Texas to 34% shooting.
It eventually set the stage for Law to hit the biggest shot of his basketball career.
"Words can't describe the feeling when you beat a rival with so much at stake," Law said. "The Big 12 championship for them and a chance to get into the tournament for us. The game had a lot of meaning for both teams."
Brief NBA career
Still, Law's collegiate stardom did not translate to the pros.
Acie was selected 11th overall in the 2007 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks but couldn't put it together in his two seasons there, averaging just 3.6 points on less than 40% shooting. He ended up playing in Europe by 2011 and had a successful pro career there, winning the EuroLeague 2012 and 2013 championships with Olympiacos.
