The Cleveland Cavaliers kick off Summer League on Friday night in Las Vegas against the Brooklyn Nets.

For those who have not watched NBA Summer League before, it's actually a really enjoyable and great product of basketball! The rosters are composed of younger players who went undrafted or other players with a couple of years of experience in the league.

They're all trying to prove to NBA teams that they're worthy to be on a roster and get significant playing time.

Here are a couple of players to keep an eye on from the Cavs' roster:

Emoni Bates

Emoni Bates might be the biggest name on the Cavaliers' Summer League roster. The former five-star recruit heading into college fell to the second round of the 2023 Draft and the Cavs jumped on the opportunity to take him.

Bates comes with a ton of raw potential and he proved during his sophomore season at Eastern Michigan when he averaged 19.2 points per game. However, this also comes after he struggled at Memphis during his freshman season.

All eyes will be on Bates to see whether or not he struggles against some current NBA players or thrives in the role.

Isaiah Mobley

Isaiah Mobley may best be known for being Evan Mobley's brother, but he's looking to show that he's a capable NBA player.

The older Mobley brother appeared in 12 games for the Cavs last season and shot 43 percent from the floor. His shining moment came against the Orlando Magic on April 6 when he dropped 18 points.

The Cavs will be in need of another big man that can contribute off the bench. If Mobley has a good Summer League then he could be in contention to get more minutes in that role next season.

Luke Travers

Some many Cavs fans may not be too familiar with the 56th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. Luke Travers was selected by Cleveland, but the goal was that he would play in the NBL in Australia to continue his development.

Travers played with the Cavs in Summer League last season and averaged 6.6 points and 1.8 assists. The 21-year-old guard has a ton of potential. His teammate, Sharife Cooper described his game as "crafty."
