It's time that time of year when if your team isn't playing in the NBA finals, then you're doing your homework on prospects and analyzing mock drafts.

The Cleveland Cavaliers won't have a lottery pick in what feels like forever. They only have a single pick late in the second round, but they can still find good talent at pick 49.

Cleveland has a number of holes they need to fill on their roster such as at backup center and depth at small forward. It appears that these are the positions that the organization is doing its research on as the draft quickly approaches.

Emoni Bates

One of the most interesting prospects that the Cavaliers have been linked to is Eastern Michigan's Emoni Bates. The 6-foot-6 forward began his collegiate career at Memphis as a five-star recruit However, he transferred out after just one season.

During his sophomore season at Eastern Michigan, Bates averaged 19.2 points and 5.8 rebounds on an effective 40 percent from the field. He also shot 33 percent from behind the arc on almost eight attempts a game.

This sort of offense would be perfect for the Cavs to get into the second round, but they just need to hope he's still there.

Chris Livingston

Another name who has recently emerged as a target for the Cavaliers is Akron native, Chris Livingston

Livingston played one season at the University of Kentucky before declaring for the NBA draft. The forward averaged 6.6 points and 4.2 rebounds in his lone college season. Livingston is another forward that could be of high value for the Cavs in the second round.

Both Livinginston and Bates have scheduled workouts with the Cavaliers, so the team is seriously considering them depending on their availability.
