The Denver Nuggets finished the job against the Los Angeles Lakers to clinch their first NBA Finals appearance in franchise history. The Nuggets were arguably the best team in the regular season and now they'll have a shot to win it all.

With the Nuggets heading to the championship, fans will also get to watch a former member of the Cleveland Cavaliers compete for the title.

Denver's Jeff Green, who's played a key role in helping the Nuggets get to this position, also spent a season with the Cavaliers.

Green was only in town for the 2017-18 season helping the Cavs to a 50-32 record and an NBA Finals appearance. That Cavs team was swept by the Golden State Warriors which was followed by LeBron James' departure to LA.

One of the reasons the veteran forward originally signed with Cleveland was that he had a soft spot for the city following life-changing surgery at the Cleveland Clinic.

Green has been about as consistent as you can ask for a veteran off the bench. He averaged 10.8 points per game and 3.2- rebounds with the Cavs and 7.8 points this past season with the Nuggets.

In the playoffs, he's appeared in 15 games averaging 3.9 points while shooting 37 percent from the floor.

Fans may not remember Green in his short stint with Cleveland, but the same impact that helped the Cavs reach a Finals has been felt in Denver. Time will tell whether or not his team will finish the job this time.
