REPORT: Cavs Content With Staying Put At Trade Deadline

The Cleveland Cavaliers will be active ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline, but they don't feel pressured to make a move.

The trade market and rumors are really starting to heat up with the clock ticking down to Thursday's deadline. The Cavs still continue their hunt for help at the wing and they've been linked to a number of players such as Josh Hart, Bojan Bogdanovic, Malik Beasley, and Tim Hardaway Jr.

But how desperate are the Cavs? What if they don't trade or miss out on one of these players? Cleveland is reportedly not too worried about it and is content with not making a move at the deadline.

I don't think is a bad mindset to have heading into the chaos that is the trade deadline. Yes, it would be nice for the Cavs to make an upgrade at the wing, but they aren't in a "championship or bust" mode yet.

There's no need to make a move if it doesn't feel right or the team they are negotiating with is overvaluing their players.

This also comes off the heels of comments that Cavs' head coach J.B. Bickerstaff made last week about the roster construction. He made it clear that he enjoys coaching the group of guys that are already on the roster and wants to see what they can do together with more consistency.

It's also not like Cleveland doesn't have small forwards who can play the position. While each of them has had their moments of good and bad, Cedi Osman, Isaac Okoro, and Caris LeVert have all been serviceable while not being perfect.

There's nothing wrong with riding out this year and reevaluating over the offseason if a trade doesn't seem right.
