REPORT: Kevin Love Out Of Cavs Rotation

Cavaliers make coaching decision to replace Love with Dean Wade in rotation

If you looked at the box score following any of the Cleveland Cavaliers most recent games, you may have noticed that something was missing.

Moreso, someone.

Kevin Love hasn't seen the floor, prompting some to wonder why Love was being held out of the action. He wasn't listed on the team's latest injury report, despite dealing with a thumb injury recently.

According to Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com, it's a coaching decision not to play Love as J.B. Bickerstaff has opted to sit the veteran and leave him out of the ration to make room for Dean Wade

Love hasn't played since a loss to the Knicks back on January 24th and was inactive for the next three games against the Rockets, Thunder and Clippers.

The next three, have been DNP-Coach's decision.

This season has been up and down for Love, and he's battled a couple different injuries. He suffered a hairline fracture in his right thumb back in November in a double-overtime win over the Hornets.

He scored 20 points in a win over the Bulls on New Year's Eve and looked to be turning the corner with his injury, but has reached double-figures just three times since then.

The 14-year NBA veteran is in the final year of a four-year contract that pays him $28 million. After a resurgence last year in a role coming off the bench, Love has struggled to recapture that magic this season.

Love recommitted himself to defense last season and tied for the league lead in charges drawn by the end of the season. This year, he appeared to pick up where he left off and is currently third in the NBA in charges drawn with 17.

But with the recent decision to opt for Wade instead of Love, it's fair to wonder what his future looks like as the trade deadline approaches.

The problem becomes: What value does Love have as a trade asset?
