This is Boston's second night of a back-to-back. Although they want to finish the season on a strong note, they, most importantly, want to finish as healthy as possible.
The Celtics will search for their 60th win of the season. If they were to capture it shorthanded, it would be the second consecutive time they reach 60+ wins. Even if they don't, the Celtics will have two more chances to reach that mark.
Nonetheless, the Celtics will enter this matchup shorthanded, and the oddsmakers do not like their chances. The Celtics are road underdogs in this matchup with a +7.5 spread.
White will miss his fifth game of the season. In the season, White has been vital for the C's and has played like their third-best player for the majority of it. He is averaging 16.4 points per game, 4.5 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 1.0 blocks while shooting 43.9 percent from the field and 38.3 percent from three in 75 games and 33.9 minutes of action.
As for Holiday, his season has been riddled with nagging injuries. Nonetheless, he has been more available than not lately; still, the Celtics will be cautious on Wednesday.
Holiday will miss his 19th game of the season. In 61 games this season, Holiday is averaging 11.2 points per game, 4.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.1 steals while shooting 44.6 percent from the field and 35.5 percent from three in 30.7 minutes of action.
To no one's surprise, Porzingis will also miss this contest. Although injuries have hampered his season a bit, Porzingis has been vital for Boston when he has been out there.
Boston is ruling him out of this matchup due to rest. He was sensational in Tuesday's game against New York, scoring 34 points on an efficient 11-of-19 shooting from the field, four rebounds, three assists, one block, and one steal in 39 minutes.
Boston has its sights on something bigger than Wednesday's matchup. They want to repeat as champions and become the first team to do so since the 2018 Warriors.
The Celtics will play their final road game of the season.
