Clippers and 76ers Still Engaged in James Harden Trade Talks

In this story:
While not much movement has been made on a James Harden trade since the Philadelphia 76ers requested a move to the LA Clippers, the two teams are reportedly still engaged in trade talks. In a recent article, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype wrote, "Harden knew the team he wanted to go to, the Clippers, and the only way to get there and get his money was to opt in because of their restrictions with the salary cap. There's still been dialogue between the two teams."
It's hard to imagine what's left to discuss between the Clippers and 76ers, given the limited assets LA is willing to offer, and the star-level package that Philadelphia is hoping for; however, it's encouraging that dialogue is still ongoing. As the offseason grows older, and training camp approaches, it would make sense for both the Clippers and 76ers to get more serious about striking a deal. This could resulting LA upping their offer, Philadelphia lowering their asking price, or a combination if both.
As of right now, the one constant is that Harden wants to play for the Clippers. Given his contract situation, that desire is one teams around the league will certainly take into consideration, as Harden could leave any team he was traded to after just one season. This is the primary reason why the Clippers even have a chance to acquire a player of Harden's caliber with their limited assets.
