Clippers Not Offering Key Assets in James Harden Trade

In this story:
Where the James Harden situation stands right now has become clear. The Clippers want him, he wants the Clippers, but the Philadelphia 76ers are not content with what has been offered. While the Clippers are Harden's preferred trade destination, it's reasonable to assume that the 76ers would deal him elsewhere if an attractive offer existed, but by all accounts, one does not.
Because this is where things are, it makes sense that the Clippers are not offering their best assets in exchange for Harden. If he wants the Clippers, and no other team is aggressively pursuing him, why would LA meet Philadelphia's demands? This is precisely what Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated explained in his most recent article, writing the following:
"There is no market for Harden. If there were, he would be gone already, either via free agency (again, Harden opted in) or trade. For weeks Sixers officials have been canvassing the NBA for a satisfactory offer. It isn’t there. The Clippers, Harden’s preferred destination, are interested. But not, it seems, at the cost of Terance Mann and what’s left of their first-round draft capital."
It seems the Clippers are confident that another team won't unexpectedly swoop in and beat their current offer for Harden, nor will Philadelphia be able to mend things with him. Because of this, Terance Mann and their limited first-round draft capital are not currently being offered.
