Former LA Clippers Player Reportedly Close to Joining Minnesota Timberwolves

In this story:
Traded from the Philadelphia 76ers to the San Antonio Spurs at the NBA trade deadline, veteran forward Marcus Morris was quickly let go by San Antonio, hitting free agency. In a report from Patrick Beverley's Pat Bev Podcast account on X (formerly known as Twitter), it was reported that Morris is leaning towards signing with the Minnesota Timberwolves:

While this is not one of the typical news breakers that NBA fans are used to, this same account broke the news that Beverley was traded to from the 76ers to the Milwaukee Bucks, and clearly has intel directly from the veteran point guard.
Beverley recently played with Morris on the LA Clippers and Philadelphia 76ers, and seems to know that his former teammate is leaning towards signing with Minnesota. Because of the new CBA rules, Morris cannot sign with certain teams, but would have a chance to join the Timberwolves.
Morris really struggled towards the end of his time with the Clippers, but played much better for Philadelphia, shooting 40% from deep in his 37 games with the 76ers. While he was always a likely candidate to be dealt from Philadelphia because of his contract, Morris was well-liked there.
Now potentially joining the Timberwolves, Morris will look to help this young team make a push in the Western Conference.
